I'm honored to be among 40 artists who were selected (from a pool of 190) for inclusion in Houston Center for Photography's 34th Annual Juried Membership Exhibition. 

The opening reception will take place on Friday, July 22, 2016, 5:30-8:00 p.m., at Houston Center for Photography, 1441 West Alabama Street. Remarks by juror Yasufumi Nakamori, Curator of Photography and New Media at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, will start at 6:00 p.m. 

The following day, Saturday, July 23, artist talks will take place beginning at 11:00 a.m. (I'll be participating!) 

The show runs through Sunday, September 4.

Happy to have two pieces selected for the 2016 Juried Salon Exhibition at The Gallery at Round Top (located in Bybee Square, in the charming town of Round Top, Texas!). Most of the 50+ works in the show, which opens on Saturday, April 23, and runs through Saturday, May 14, will be for sale.

The Museum of Neon Art (MONA), now open in its new home in Glendale, California, is mounting a group show of photos of vintage neon signs; three of my prints were selected for the show . . . and I'll be in SoCal for the exhibition's opening on Friday, April 1! The opening party will be held at MONA, 216 S. Brand Avenue in Glendale, from 7 p.m-10 p.m. 

Admission for MONA members is $10; non-members: $20.

Thrilled to say that a batch of my prints is now on view in Houston in the "Deck the Walls" 2015 group show at Catherine Couturier Gallery. The show opens on Saturday, December 5 -- with an opening reception from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. -- and will be up through January 9. Visit the gallery and see some fabulous work by Keith Carter, Robert Doisneau, Maggie Taylor, and Jerry Uelsmann, among other talented photographers.  

Pop Shop Houston’s Holiday Market in November 2014 was the first market at which I sold prints of my photos, and I had such a great experience that I’ve participated as a vendor at one or more markets each month since then! Pop Shop Houston’s two-day indoor June market will have everything from clothing, jewelry, furniture, food, home decor, and art items — including gallery wraps and framed and unframed prints of my photos, plus pieces of my upcycled film jewelry — to items for children and pets, and more, at 90+ booths. Also: Music, food trucks, and more.

A variety of vintage and vintage-inspired things, including antiques, an array of furnishings, decorative items, and wearable objects, plus good things to eat, can be found at this curated, upscale indoor market, which is held over 2-3 days in various cities.

McKinney, north of Dallas, in May will be my first Vintage Market Days market! (My photos and vintage film jewelry will be for sale.) 80+ vendors.

Shopping on Black Friday -- or in most large stores on most other days -- is *not* my cup of tea. Supporting local businesses, however, *is* something I'm in favor of. That said, I'm happy to be among a select group of Houston-area artists-crafters-designers-makers whose handmade and/or vintage goods will be sold in Pop Shop Houston's curated market on Black Friday, Nov. 28-Sunday, Nov. 30.

Holiday Fest attendees will find a variety of unique items, including my vintage sign photos, jewelry made from upcycled movie film, and tabletop holiday trees handcrafted from old books, torn vintage map pieces, and more. It's an indoor market -- at Silver Street Studios -- and admission is free, so hopefully we'll have a great turnout. If you'll be in Houston that weekend, let me know if you'll stop by the Holiday Fest -- my first market!
