In good company:
Top: On a shelf next to an iconic Elliott Erwitt New York City print — that’s a 15” x 15” print of mine, matted to 24” x 24”.
Center: Several in a vertical grouping.
Bottom: A 26” x 26” print, next to some of Maggie Taylor’s also colorful work, in Catherine’s office.
My Roadside Relics solo show at Catherine Couturier Gallery: It's up; check it out! Also: My arm is broken (scroll down to see photo below), and my car is totaled! But that's a story for another time!
My first solo exhibition at Catherine Couturier Gallery in Houston will be on view through Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Despite having a broken arm and being on pain killers, I captured these quick iPhone pics in the gallery to give you an idea of how things look.
If you are not already aware of it, Catherine Couturier Gallery — the premier photography gallery in Houston — represents my work, and it’s a major honor to have a solo show there. (Big thanks go to Catherine, and to fab framer Arnaud Couturier, and to gallery manager Ileana Yordan for getting everything up on the walls so nicely!)
If you have any questions about any of the pieces/images, or about anything else, shoot me a message!
Gallery info: 2635 Colquitt Street, Houston, TX 77098 (map). Phone 713-524-5070. Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Email: gallery [at] CatherineCouturier.com
Heading to Los Angeles
This is big -- kind of huge for me! Psyched to be heading to Los Angeles!
Next weekend, January 30-31, several of my prints will be at Classic Photographs Los Angeles, thanks to Catherine Couturier of Catherine Couturier Gallery, who will be exhibiting there with other top photography dealers.
Where: Bonhams, 7601 W. Sunset Blvd. More info: classicphotographsla.com
After that, I’ll be in LA for the April 1 opening of a group photography exhibition – photos of vintage neon signs – at the new Museum of Neon Art (MONA). Thrilled that three photos of mine were selected for the MONA exhibition, which will be on the museum’s walls for a couple of months.
If you’ll be in LA next weekend: Come to Bonhams – there’ll be lots of incredible photos there to see (and to purchase)!
And on Friday, April 1: Come to MONA in Glendale – see me, this photography exhibition, and more at the museum!
This is the first that some of you are hearing that I’ll be in LA in late March and early April. Looking forward to seeing many of you during that trip!
