Ink fanatics are giving up just a little more skin for a new type of tattoo that takes identity to a whole new level.

At The Jade Monkey Tattoo in Phoenix, artist Levi Smith is designing new tattooes called a quick response or “QR” code, which is very similar to a bar code.

The roughly 3 by 3 inch, black tattoo is being described as a marketing bar code tool that Smartphone users can scan directly into their phone.
